With the issue of health care at the forefront of our national policymakers and many Americans, the Iowa Alliance in Home Care (IAHC) is sponsoring a program designed to educate Iowans of the many benefits of home care, while helping our legislators see the importance of continued and increased funding for these important programs. More than 150 local home health providers throughout the entire state have joined the IAHC in support of their actions.

Fairfield's Harley Carter is a member of the Iowa Alliance in Home Care board and he has asked another Fairfield resident, Jordan Bishop, to help tell home health's story to a statewide audience.

Carter is coordinating the organization's "Ask Me about Home Care" community awareness program to educate state legislators about home care and head off potential Medicaid cutbacks.
